Why are you the right person to look after my pet?We’re a local business so we know where all the best dog parks & beach are. All our team members have a passion for animals and we offer a satisfaction guarantee to make sure you’re happy with our service. How is your care customised to my pet?We’re dedicated to making sure that we maintain your pets daily routine as accurately as possible. If that’s a long morning walk, a home cooked meal and a midnight treat, we customise our care to fit your pets lifestyle and routine.

What areas do you service?This is a list of areas we service, if you can't see your area send us an email! We can probably arrage to help you out!

What kind of animals do you care for?We mainly work with dogs and cats. We also have experience with small birds. Please contact us if youd like us to care for other animals.

What happens if my pet needs to go to the vet?Of course! In the unlikely event your pet needs any medical attention we'll take them straight to the vet if it's an emergency or call you to discuss the issue. We get your vet and pet insurance details on our survey form prior to your booking. If your pet needs any medication whilst we're looking after them, we're happy to administer that as well. But, please let us know if they’re not a fan of their medication, so we can do our best to make sure they're comfortable!

Do you provide pet boarding?Unfortunately at this time we don’t have the facilities to board pets in our homes. We do offer overnight sitting so that your pet can stay in a safe and familiar environment.

Do I need a meet and greet?Yes! We always conduct a meet before house visit or house sitting. This gives you and your pet a chance to meet us and make sure that you’re happy. It also gives us a chance to see where your pet supplies are kept. Meet and greets are optional for dog walking, but if you’d like one please let us know!

Can I meet the person caring for my pet?Of course! Before any booking we always conduct a meet and greet. This lets you and your pet meet the team member looking after your pet and make sure that you're both comfortable before the booking. Do you accept last minute bookings?Yes! We accept bookings at any time. If you need a same day booking please text or call 0410216989 so we can get back to you as soon as possible.

How often can I get photo updates?As often as you'd like! We send a minimum of one update, but if you'd like more just ask! We also post plenty of updates to our social media page @thepurrfectpup on instgram!

What if my pet needs medication while you're looking after them?All our team members have completed a pet first aid course and have experience giving dogs medicine e.g. Flea/tick fluroliners or tablets. If they need any other medication please let us know before your booking. If your pet isn't a fan of their medicine let us know what tricks you use! Whether it's hiding it in a ball of cheese or crushing it into their food.

What training should my dog have.We expect your dog to have basic training such as recall and being toilet trained. If your dog is a puppy and isn't fully toilet trained yet that's perfectly okay! We're happy to help out with this training!

What happens if I have to cancel my trip due to Covid-19 restrictions?We totally understand that Covid-19 makes it hard to plan for the future. That's why if you need to cancel due to government implemented Covid-19, we'll give you a 100% refund.

What happens if I cancel my trip?We understand that things don't always go to plan that's why we have a 100% refund policy. Cancellations during holiday periods require a non-refundable 50% deposit 2 weeks prior to the booking. If your holiday is cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions we’ll issue a 100% refund.

What does your free maintenance include?Our free maintenance includes basic tasks such as watering, taking out the bins and bringing in mail. If there are any other tasks you'd like completed just let us know during the meet & greet.

Do you have insurance?Of course, We take every precaution to make that your pet is always safe. We are insured under QBE Public Liability Insurance

I've never had a house sitter before. What do I need to do?All you need to do is make sure that there's somewhere comfortable for your house sitter to sleep. e.g. spare bedroom or air mattress. They'll bring all their own food, but, having a microwave is also very helpful. We also need to know where your dogs' food and toys are kept. Before your booking, we always conduct a meet and greet so that's when we make sure we've got all this information

Where will my pet sleep when you're house sitting?We’re more than happy for your dog to sleep with us if that’s what they’re used to! Otherwise we’ll stick to their normal routine as best we can.

How many walks will my dog get?Your dog will get 2 walks a day at a local dog park or beach. These walks are both a minimum of 1 hour.

What will my pet be fed?You’ll supply the food, so we can keep up with your pets regular diet. If enough food is not provided for the entire length of service we will go to the store to purchase more and provide a receipt for reimbursement.

What if my pet is on a raw diet?We’re more than happy to keep up with your dogs raw diet! Depending on the complexity of the meal it may incur an additional cost if it involved more than 10+ ingredients & cooking.

I've never had a house visitor before, do I need to do anything?"All you need to do is make sure that your house sitter knows where your pets' food and toys are kept. Before your booking, we always conduct a meet and greet so that's when we make sure we've got all the necessary information.

What is the maximum number of visits I can book?The maximum number of visits is 2 per day. For dog parents who are away overnight we need to know that your dog will have an opportunity to exercise while you are away.

Can I book visits every other day?No, all cats or dog will be visited no less than once every 24 hours. This is for the health of your pet. Safety first!

How many dogs do you walk at once?We walk a maximum of 3 days at one time. We feel that 3 is the perfect number so that they all get plenty of attention but still have plenty of friends to play with!

What happens if it’s raining?Depending on how much rain there is we may have to reschedule your walk. We aim to give as much notice as possible.

What happens when it’s really hot in summer or during a heat wave?Depending on how hot it is in summer we recommend that walks take place early in the morning or later in the afternoon/evening. If a day is particuarlly hot, as i'm sure you know Sydney summers can be, we may need to cancel the walk.
